I participated in a "Hands Across the Sands" event on my birthday. It just happened to be that day but I thought it was a good way to focus my energy and celebrate 39 years of the gift of life.
The event took place along the shores of our local beaches, as well as every beach around the nation and other parts of the world. It was basically a protest against offshore drilling and support for environmental protection of our beloved water and land. Here's the website in case anyone is interested.
