Better late than never ...
We had a pretty eventful holiday season despite the fact that we were in escrow through the entire affair!! Since we couldn't travel, we stayed home. It rained A LOT but we had some sunny days, as you can see from the Christmas parade pictures below (Lake's first time to fetch candy in a parade =) And we even got to play in some snow (brought in for a 'snow day' fair =)
Lake opened presents and emptied her stocking on Christmas morning. When we go shopping she has started a habit of putting things she wants in the basket (that's how it works, right?) So we kept a few here and there and filled her stocking with them. It was fun =)
Most of her presents filtered in through the weeks. Some highlights were her train set which she picked out herself with her money from Mama J. Thank you!! And of course it wouldn't be Christmas without a soft little dog and a soft little blanket (which now belongs to the dog =) She loves them both and cares for them well (warms a mother's heart.) Thank you Papa John and Grandma Sue!!
This was Lake's first year to really learn about Santa (she got to meet him in town but we forgot our camera!!) She now talks about "Santa Clause" as if they are on close terms. I think it had something to do with the fact that he brought her a new bike for Christmas =) One lucky little girl, I tell ya!!
There were a few more presents here and there, and we're thankful for them all. Oh, and we can't forget the sweets and the giant candy cane balloon!!! (Do you think the chocolate bar may have been too much???) Aw, you're only two once, right? Gotta live it up =)
