The cabinet refinishing is moving right along. My work space is set up in the rental garage for now. I cleaned, primed, and painted (2 coats) the inside doors and drawers and I have to wait 5 days before I can turn them over so the paint doesn't get messed up. They're looking pretty good. A few imperfections here and there but I'm learning to appreciate the DIY (Do it Yourself) imperfections that come through. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself about things like my strand of hair painted into the kitchen cabinet =)
I have started cleaning up the cabinets at the house as well. It's my first time to use TSP and it's working pretty well. There was some serious grease and grime on those cabinets, I tell ya. Gross is an understatement.
PLUS, I took a road trip with our good friend, Shannon, to Ikea to pick up the butcher block countertops. We had a great time, even ended up at a Chinese New Year celebration with fireworks and all!! And the countertops are BEAUTIFUL!!! But more on that later ...
