The Master Bedroom

We have to replace some messed up paneling in the master bedroom AND we discovered a small leak in there as well. So we tore down the paneling and discovered insulation in the outer walls - YEAH!! And found more of the cool lath and plaster in the inner walls. We were happy to learn that the leak was only due to holes between the outside siding boards and all we need to do is caulk them to make everything water tight. We were already planning to do this when we paint and revamp the outside so nothing new was added to the list. And now we know exactly what's going on in those walls, which will make for a much easier sleep in days to come =)

NEXT: PAINT!! Our painter is coming out on Monday to shellac the paneling and the old sub-floors, prime everything else, and apply a first coat of colored paint to the ceilings. After that we'll be able to install the new lights and I'll start painting the rest of the walls and trim after Lake goes to bed and John is home resting. April 1st is coming soon. It's time to tag team to get this baby done!! (It does kind of feel like a second baby =) We won't have the outside complete, but I think everything on the inside will be finished and ready for our move-in date and some fun decor. HOPEFULLY!!
