WE'RE HOME!!

And it's a mess. Again =) But we're slowly getting things together. As quickly as one can move with a two-year-old who likes to decorate in her own randomly chaotic way. I know she has method to her madness but I haven't quite figured it out yet.

We have had lots of visitors welcoming us to the neighborhood, a garage sale that went really well, construction continuing on the outside, and all the rest of the craziness of moving. I tried to take some pictures of each empty room before it filled up but I wasn't very successful. I'm not even sure where those pictures are now.

We still have TONS of little projects to do on the inside of the house but I don't feel rushed about anything. We pretty much have the kitchen put together and all of the essential daily needs set up like sleeping arrangements, bathroom stuff, and the washer and drier in working order.

As far as the outside is concerned, we have switched the big dumpster for a concrete dumpster so the backyard junk is cleared out and the front porch steps are about to be demolished soon. John has started priming the house for paint. Mark has finished all of the trim around the new doors and windows and has begun work on the other rotted trim. And we have a new garage door. I'll post more pictures of everything soon.

And I already feel like we're home. It just fits. Maybe it's because we have spent so much time and energy here for the past few months. I don't know. But it feels like I've been here for years. We have had really beautiful offshore weather over the past week. The air is warm, the seagulls are singing, and I can even hear the sea lions on the bay. I think the beach house theme was a good choice =) I feel like we're on vacation and at home all in one. Perfect.
