I'm pretty sure a print of this painting is going over our mantel in the living room. I love it. It's called "Rescue of a Seaworthy Creature" by Kat Hannah. I found it on Esty.
I try to make things light and airy but I have a melancholy side to myself that needs expression. This painting captures both sides and seems to be appropriate for the home of an environmental scientist and someone writing their dissertation on the "Ecology of Love". Plus, it has brilliant colors, beach and sea elements, and a bit of child wonder for the little one in our lives.
I love, love, love it!!
