OMG!!!

This is what happens when you paint in the dark with only a headlamp and a small flashlight and you forgot to test the color before hand. Of course the first color I actually applied to the walls was the ONE that I didn't test first. And the lights aren't hooked up yet so I was painting late and it didn't look too bad wet and in the dark so I kept going. I arrived at the house this morning and freaked (in a tired and not really too surprised that something would go wrong sort of way.)

I wanted the "etched glass" green that I originally chose but became distracted by the fact that it was too light for the outside of the house when I tested it. I went two shades darker for the outside and thought one shade lighter should work for the inside. But I didn't test the new shade which is called "spring break". I just decided it would be fun to be on perpetual spring break in the bathrooms and went with it.

It's a little overwhelming for me but I figured it could be an experiment with darker shades and when the white toilet, sink, shower curtain, towels, and seashell decor are all in maybe it won't be so bad. (John thinks it's fine.) If I can't live with it I'll change it later. (This is the part I love about home ownership =)

I did, however, get the 'etched glass' color for the master bathroom (and tested it.) One experimental room is enough for me right now ...
